Miss California Carrie Prejean Loses Her Crown

I learned from the news last night that Miss California Carrie Prejean lost her crown. It is barely a month when Donald Trump said that she can keep her Miss California crown despite a controversy over some racy photos surfacing on the Internet, missed appearances and her statements against same-sex marriage. Carrie Prejean became controversial after the Miss USA pageant, in which she was the first runner-up. Her answer to a question asked by a pageant judge, Perez Hilton, about gay marriage stirred up trouble and was continuously attacked by others who believe the other way. Carrie Prejean expressed her stand that gays and lesbians should not be given the right to marry in California.

According to reports, the reason for Prejean's firing is based on contract violations. Oh, oh! I wonder what happened to her. She probably got a little disturbed after being constantly attacked. I thought she already won the battle over those who wanted her dethroned as Miss California USA. Now she's really fired! The new Miss California USA is Tami Farrell (see picture below).

The new Miss California Tami Farrell became Miss Oregon Teen USA (2002), “Miss Congeniality” and Miss Teen USA (2003), Miss Malibu USA (2008) and the first runner-up Miss California USA (2009). Now, the title is hers. She attended the New York School for Film and Television and has made some guest appearances on the NBC soap opera Passions.
